Case Study
As a result of concerns about a possible sample mix up at a pathology laboratory, DNA profiling was used by Genetic Technologies to verify a DNA match between a patient reference sample and a tissue sample that had been diagnosed as cancerous. The testing showed that there had been no sample mix up.
Samples types
A simple, painless mouth swab provides cells that we use to obtain your DNA. This swab is placed in a sealed bag and sent to our laboratory in a reply paid envelope provided in your sample collection kit.
